Ambrielle Harris - Flute, Percussion and Drums, Piano

Ambrielle Harris attended Millsaps College for her freshman and part of her sophomore year, studying Studio Art, Theatre, and Music before transferring to Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in an online program to focus more specifically on her art studies. She works part time as a graphic designer for Gator Grafix in Gluckstadt, Mississippi.

She studied piano under Betty Jean Patterson for eleven years. In high school, she studied percussion intensely under the direction of Michael Baker and Justin Harvison, acting as the marimba captain all four years she was in the Championship winning band. Developing a strong love for percussion, she continued her studies independently after graduating high school, totaling eight years of percussion experience.

To continue in her love of music, she has accepted many opportunities to play and teach in the Jackson area. She joined the First Baptist Jackson Orchestra during her freshman year of college, and during her time there, she has played flute and percussion for Carols by Candlelight, as well as piano during Keyboards at Christmas. She has played keyboard for Jackson Academy Middle School’s Show Choir and flute for Jackson Academy High School’s Theatre. In 2017, she had the privilege of working with the St. Joe High School Marching band, writing the drumline music for their show and teaching at their summer band camp. Her time in these organizations has only worked to reinforce her love for music and teaching.
